Elizabeth Bodett Dresser, LCPC
EMDR & IFS level 1 trained therapist
Hi, I'm Elizabeth. I schedule all of my hair and chiropractor appointments for the year in January. Systems like that help me feel organized and like I have as much of my life as possible under control. This doesn't mean that I don't still struggle with overwhelm from time to time, but I know how to get myself back on track. I'm proud of the time that I make in my life for reading, because that's something that brings me joy and helps me feel like myself.
I know what it's like to live my life caught in a cycle of anxious overthinking and overfunctioning all the time. I understand how it feels to have the fear of being truly seen by others get in the way of relationships. I live in a body that holds stress very tightly. My specific experience is going to be different from yours, but I also understand how hard and beautiful it is to develop quiet confidence.
In our work together, we’ll slow things down and create space for you to reconnect with yourself—not just as someone who gets things done, but as a whole person with needs, emotions, and a life outside of your to-do list. Therapy is a place where you can put down the pressure to perform, quiet the mental noise, and learn to trust yourself in a deeper way. My goal is to help you feel more present, more at ease, and more in control—not just of your schedule, but also of your inner world.
If this is resonating, schedule an intro call. I'd love to talk with you.
